7. Revision of the translation of International Accounting Standards in Private Sector
A. International Accounting Standards for 1999
It is the only approved translation by the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) and contains 39 Standards and their Appendices. It is updated periodically; so as to include all the latest developments in accounting standards, and it is issued by the Arab Society of Certified Accountants.
B. International Accounting Standards for 2000
This book contains 39 standards and eighteen Interpretations which were issued by the Standing Interpretation Committee (SIC), and it is the only approved Arabic translation by the International Accounting Standards Committee.
C. International Accounting Standards for 2001
This book contains new and updated International Accounting Standards. The number of the International Accounting Standards issued by IASC until the end of June 2002 is 41 standards according to the international Accounting Standards Book for 2001.
